  • Jack Sullivan was part of a truly distinctive Australian sub-culture. His life story is in a sense the story of the Kimberley region of Western Australia. Born in 1901, Jack Sullivan had a European father and an Aboriginal mother of Djamindjong background. The author, Bruce Shaw, met Jack in 1973 and later that year began tape recording Jack's reminiscences.
