A scarce title of ‘Frontier Life in the Loddon Protectorate-Episodes from Early Days, 1837-1842’, a Limited Edition of 1000 copies published in 1967. This is a soft cover publication of 31 pages and is a record of the early stages of European occupation in Central Victoria. The period between 1837 and 1842 saw a confrontation between the Aboriginal inhabitants and the white settlers who flocked to the region so glowingly described by Sir Thomas Mitchell in 1836.
