In 1960 Stephanie Alexander's mother, Mary Burchett, published 'Through My Kitchen Door', a slender volume of recipes and reminiscences. At the time Mary's dedication to exploring 'foreign foods' set her apart from her contemporaries. In this book Stephanie presents her mother's original work annotated by family reminiscences and culinary tips. The 134-page hardback book with dustjacket is in good overall condition. Proceeds of the sale of this book at the time were devoted to Tanunda Soldiers' Memorial. Please check all photos thoroughly. This is a lightweight paperback book and as such, over the years the cover has become slightly grubby and one cover corner is missing.
