This beautiful vintage book is undated but I believe it to be from the 1940s. It was printed by the Specialty Press Limited, Melbourne and is from 'Digest Juvenile Productions'(Registered) 174 Little Collins Street Melbourne, Australia'. It has paperback covers and has the most amazing illustrations. The front cover has a small patch of discolouration on the top right side where a price sticker probably was at some stage. Please check the photos provided. -
'Scotty in Gumnut Land' is one of May Gibbs' lesser known stories. When the gate was left open Scotty was out and away! Into all the adventure that Gumnut Land and its characters had to offer. This Angus & Robertson edition was reprinted in 1988. It is in very good condition throughout. Note the addition of a book- plate which has not been written on. The dust jacket is somewhat faded along the spine. Please refer to the photos provided. -

A delightful book containing black and white illustrations by Guy Nicholls. Considering its age the condition of the book is very good. The dust jacket is present but is not perfect. Please check the photos provided and note there is fading and some defects present to the dust jacket. In her foreword Enid Blyton writes, " The most delightful and instructive book on cooking that I have ever read." -
If you are after a pristine cook book this is not for you. If you are wanting one with loads of character that has been well used and added to with snippets cut from elsewhere and glued in, look no further. It is small, measuring approximately 13 cm x 18 cm. The lower section of page 199 has been cut out. The advertisements are interesting too. -
Please notes this vintage reference manual has marks throughout. Except for these marks/staining it is in very good condition. It is a small book measuring 12 cm x 18 cm with spiral metal binding and a hard card cover. SHELL introduce this as "A booklet devoted to varied phases of mechanised farming with comprehensive information for "The Man on the Land." -
Taken from the Goldfields Guide (Victoria) "The Loddon River Scenic Reserve in Glenlyon offers beautiful views, a scenic walk and a stunning waterfall. This peaceful reserve features Loddon Falls, where the Loddon River drops dramatically over a wall of huge hexagonal basalt columns into a pool below before continuing on through the spectacular rocky gorge." I believe this is an early postcard of the above Loddon Falls. It is postmarked Melbourne 8 AM 28 5 07. It has been posted to Miss D. Debney, Continuation School, City. The Mac. Robertson Girls' High School began as Melbourne Continuation School, the first government funded school in the state of Victoria, established in 1905 in Spring Street, Melbourne. Please refer to both photos provided. -
This postcard was produced by W.T. Jenkin, Newsagent & Stationer, High Street Nagambie. It was printed in Saxony (Saxony is a landlocked state in Germany with Dresden as the capital city). It has been written on, dated 23/10/19 so it is over 100 years old. Please check both photos as they are the best descriptors. -
Kodak introduced a service called "real photo postcards" in 1907 which enabled customers to make a postcard from any photo they took. Please refer to both photos provided. Handwritten on the back of this postcard is 'Choir - Congregational Church Lennox Street Richmond.' I am assuming the suburb Richmond is the inner city suburb of Melbourne Victoria.
