This very special First Edition book was written by Walter Emanuel (also author of 'A Dog Day') and published by Lawrence & Bullen 16 Henrietta Street, Covent Garden, London in 1904. It contains 36 printed pages of text with 18, plus the title page vignette, splendid full-page colour illustrations throughout. The illustrator is Cecil Aldin. Shona Nunan was born in Australia in 1959 and qualified with a Bachelor of Art -Sculpture from RMIT (Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology) in 1981. She has an impressive portfolio of selected collections and commissions and has an impressive history of exhibitions. Shona has studios in Italy and France. Dennis O'Hoy worked in education from 1959 until his retirement in 1996. He was head of the School of Art and Design at the La Trobe University Bendigo campus. In 2016 he was appointed as a Member of the Order of Australia Award for significant service to the community of Bendigo, particularly through heritage preservation organisations and his commitment to tertiary education.
