This vintage book is a handbook and guide for beginners in the popular sport of long distance Pigeon Racing. It was published by All British Pigeon Racing Publishing Co. Ltd (Redferns, Weybridge, Surrey). There is no date of publication provided but it could be 1960s or 1970s. The previous owners' names are written on the title page. This beautiful vintage book is undated but I believe it to be from the 1940s. It was printed by the Specialty Press Limited, Melbourne and is from 'Digest Juvenile Productions'(Registered) 174 Little Collins Street Melbourne, Australia'. It has paperback covers and has the most amazing illustrations. The front cover has a small patch of discolouration on the top right side where a price sticker probably was at some stage. The signatures on the front of the card are printed on rather than actually signed. On the back of the card is a bio of the band's success. Started in the 1960s by Georges and Mirka Mora, art met life with interesting results. Tolarno Bistro closed in 2006 and this book is a record of an influential era of cooking, eating, drinking and being creatively merry. This is a 168 page hardback edition with dustjacket which has been signed by the author, Suzanne Falkiner and published by Valadon Publishing, Australia, 1981. Founded in 1882 as a Merino stud, Haddon Rig is managed by George Falkiner, his daughter Olivia and their management team. The business Goldsbrough, Mort & Company Limited was established in 1848 and its registered office was at 526 Bourke Street, Melbourne. The company dealt in wool, hides, sheepskins, tallow, furred skins etc. In 1962 Goldsbrough, Mort & Co merged with Elder Smith & Co to form Elder Smith Goldsbrough Mort & Co Ltd.
