• This booklet was printed in Melbourne by G.W. Green & Sons Pty. Ltd. At the time Laurel Kerosene was the most popular kerosene amongst Australian housewives. The Vacuum Oil Company was the first oil company to be established in Australia. The recipes and hints published in this booklet had appeared in the Vacuum Country Journal and all had been tested and tasted. The book is in pretty good condition for its age.     This is a fabulous 71-page illustrated vintage cook book, printed in Japan. The illustrations are delightful.
    No author is provided. The pages are in very good condition, the hardback cover has a few marks. Please refer to the photos provided.  The introductory sentence in the chapter 'The Pleasure of Cooking' states,    
    'This book is intended as a beginning book of French cooking to introduce American girls to joys of French cuisine".
  • 1000 selected recipes and every recipe provided in this book is of proved merit and signed as such by the donors. Proceeds of the sale of this book at the time were devoted to Tanunda Soldiers' Memorial. Please check all photos thoroughly. This is a lightweight paperback book and as such, over the years the cover has become slightly grubby and one cover corner is missing.   • Remember cooking with the crock-pot? What a great appliance it was back in the 1970s! Pop your meal on early in the day and it would be ready to enjoy that evening. Today's equivalent would be the slow cooker. There are some great recipes within from Margaret Fulton, the first Australian food and cooking writer, journalist, author and commentator. Madame Murat's is a small family restaurant run by Jeanne Murat in the French village of Pomarede in south-western France.
