This softcover/paperback book of 74 pages is a fascinating memoir of his life, beginning with leaving home at the age of sixteen in the early hours of the morning to go dingo shooting with a mate, along the dingo and rabbit proof fence which ran for 1800 kilometres. Olegas Truchanas, a Lithuanian born Tasmanian was a master photographer and a champion of the Tasmanian wilderness. He was also a councillor of the Australian Conservation Foundation. He sadly lost his life in the Gordon River Gorge on January 6th, 1972. This book of 144 pages, including both colour and black and white plates, has gathered together his finest works.
