  • A boxed set of six sterling silver mid 20th century demitasse spoons by Tasmanian silversmith Dorothy Pickett. Stamped to the underside DP HOBART STG.SILVER Dorothy worked as a silversmith for both herself and Sargisons Jewellers in Hobart from about 1947 to 1980. She has since passed away. These spoons are similar in design to those held in the Powerhouse Museum by Harold Sargison, circa 1920s.

  • 12th Light Horse Regiment (Mounted Unit of the Australian Army). Raised in NSW in 1915 as part of the AIF (Australian Imperial Forces) for service during WW1. The unit fought at Gallipoli as reinforcements as well as the Sinai and Palestine campaign and were also instrumental in suppressing the 1919 Egyptian Uprising.   • This military field telephone is marked on the handpiece ST&C D🡡D. it is housed in a timber case. On the underside of the case lid is written Telephone Sets F Working Instructions For: - On the top of the telephone is Telephone Set F MK 11 T.M.C. (T.M.C. stands for Telephone Manufacturing Company – London). Please refer to all the photos provided.
  • Written on the outside of the wooden case is Telephone Set "F" MK. 1. On the underside of the lid a metal plaque is attached which lists the call signs eg. A=AC, B= Beer, C= Charlie etc. On the underside of the handle in an oval lozenge is PL TELE HAND NO. 1 1942 1944 is written on the base unit. (Canadian) N. E. Co. with an upwards pointing arrow in a C (the Canadian broad arrow). N. E. refers to the company NORTHERN ELECTRIC. Please refer to all the photos provided.
