This item was issued by the MOBIL OIL COMPANY as a promotional giveaway in 1964, which coincided with the Beatles' visit to Sydney. The signatures on the front of the card are printed on rather than actually signed. On the back of the card is a bio of the band's success. Please check both photos provided thoroughly as these are of the actual item you will receive. Note please the horizontal crease towards the bottom of the card. The renowned Eastern Arrernte painter, Kathleen Kemarre Wallace tells stories of her elders and their way of life that she learnt as a child and young woman. Her knowledge of country, law and culture are evident in her words and paintings. Her story -telling illuminates the origins and beliefs of Eastern Arrernte people and calls for respect for the ancient traditions of the altyerre spirits. Regardless of whether you have read the previous stories or not, this 221 page one will introduce you to the delightful Dixon family and their farm and sheep station in Victoria. The illustrator is Ian Nimmo Forrest and the book has been published by Ward Lock & Co. Ltd and printed in Great Britain by Butler & Tanner Ltd. The book is in very good condition for its age.
