The author, Brendan Monks, came to the Shire of Gordon in 1980 to teach History at Boort High School and began to research local history for student use. The book grew from this research. There are plenty of black and white photographs provided. Refer to the photo showing the Contents page for more information.

It contains a photographic exhibition of koori women of southeast Australia. It offers an Aboriginal perspective of how Koori women have adopted and adapted in many ways to survive since the arrival of Europeans. The book is in good condition throughout.   • This softcover edition is in very good condition throughout. Please check the photographs provided. Joseph Jenkins arrived at Port Melbourne on 22 March 1869 and began a series of diaries which were to become a unique account of life in colonial Australia. He worked on farms in the Ballarat and Castlemaine areas, and later as a street worker for the Maldon council. This was the time of gold fever, the Kelly's and spreading unemployment among farm workers. William Evans was the grandson of Joseph Jenkins and lived on the farm in Wales where, as a three year old, he had played with his grandfather after his return from Australia. His grandfather's diaries had lain undisturbed in the attic of a Welsh farmhouse for more than seventy years before they were abridged and notated by William. If you are interested in history this book is a 'must have'.
  • 'Emily's Journal - The Welch Letters' by Pat Roberts. Signed by the author (refer photo). This book details the letters and journals and history of a South Australian family from pioneer days to 1986. The book has 264 pages and measures approximately 19 cm by 25 cm. The front and back covers consist of laminated pictorial boards. The book is in very good condition overall however there is one small scuff along the edge of the back cover.

  • Frank Lloyd Wright’s buildings on the West Coast of America have not been thoroughly covered in print until this substantial book was published in 2014. Between 1909 and 1959, Wright designed a total of 38 structures up and down the West Coast, from Seattle to Southern California including the Marin County Civic Centre and Hollyhock House in Los Angeles, and the 1909 Stewart House near Santa Barbara. The author, Mark Anthony Wilson is an architectural historian who has been writing and teaching about architecture for more than thirty-five years and has written four previous books about architecture. More than 200 photographs are provided by architectural photographer Joel Puliatti in addition to 50 archival images, many of which have never been seen in print before. Please check the photos provided. The book is in very good condition throughout. There are three lineal indents to the front dustjacket, not noticeable but mentioned for accuracy.
  • This is a 316 page hard back edition with a dust jacket and has black and white plus colour illustrations throughout. It tells the story of Lithgow's iron and steel industry from 1874 until 1932 .The Publisher is Light Railway Research Society of Australia, Victoria, Australia, 2006 The book is in good condition with clean and crisp pages. Please note the crease to the dustjacket front cover on the lower right hand side. The book tells the story of Lithgow through the eyes of the men who worked in the iron and steel industry to support their families.    
  • In 1994, Raymond Waites™ Vintage Home Collection was born in New York. 'Garden Lane' is a beautiful design from 1989. The fabric is approximately 1.4 metres wide and 7 metres long.

  • Published by the Blue Mountains City Council. The beautiful paintings of Pichard Smolicz are accompanied by John Low's text, which outlines the historic relationship of these structures (eg. Lennox Bridge, Knapsack Viaduct) to their environment. The book is in good condition throughout but noted for accuracy, the edges of the dustjacket turn up slightly.
