This is the 296 page, 1975 hardback first edition with dustjacket written by Brett Freeman. It provides a detailed account of the activities at Lake Boga during World War 2. Lake Boga was chosen as an RAAF facility, it being a secret, southern, inland body of water where flying boats could be concealed and serviced. Please refer to all the photos provided. This booklet was printed in Melbourne by G.W. Green & Sons Pty. Ltd. At the time Laurel Kerosene was the most popular kerosene amongst Australian housewives. The Vacuum Oil Company was the first oil company to be established in Australia. The recipes and hints published in this booklet had appeared in the Vacuum Country Journal and all had been tested and tasted. The book is in pretty good condition for its age. Lindy Chamberlain was accused of killing her then nine week-old baby Azaria while camping at Uluru (then known as Ayers Rock). Lindy maintained from the beginning that she had seen a dingo leaving the tent where Azaria was sleeping. The prosecution case was circumstantial and depended upon forensic evidence that was eventually found to be deeply flawed. She and her husband Michael, co-accused, were officially pardoned in 1987 and had their convictions quashed by the Supreme Court of the Northern Territory in 1988.
