A daybill is a variety of Australian film poster issued to cinemas at the time of a film's release. Daybills were folded twice and then sold to cinemas. Daybills are sought-after by collectors for their rarity and their unique artwork. They look great framed. This daybill dates to 1983 and is in good overall condition. It measures approximately 34 cm wide x 66 cm long. Please check both photos provided. This item will be mailed in a postal tube.

Yang Liu was born in 1976 in Beijing and moved to Germany at the age of 13. After studying at the University of Arts Berlin, she worked as a designer in Singapore, London, Berlin and New York. In 2004 she founded her own design studio. Her works have won numerous prizes in international competitions and can be found in museums and collections all over the world. In 1949 the Snowy Mountain Scheme was born. It was a massive engineering project to divert the waters of the mountain streams inland to the Murray and Murrumbidgee rivers, providing water for irrigation and hydroelectric power. There have been many books about the men involved however this is the first book about the women, young and old, who made the Snowy their lives. This is a paperback consisting of 112 pages which was published in 1998 by Kangaroo Press. The author Kirsty McGoldrick was at the time a working journalist living on the NSW Cental Coast. This booklet was printed in Melbourne by G.W. Green & Sons Pty. Ltd. At the time Laurel Kerosene was the most popular kerosene amongst Australian housewives. The Vacuum Oil Company was the first oil company to be established in Australia. The recipes and hints published in this booklet had appeared in the Vacuum Country Journal and all had been tested and tasted. The book is in pretty good condition for its age.
