This is one of the first 500 copies of this biography sold by the Presbyterian Bookroom, Melbourne. It is signed by both the author and Mrs. Flynn. The author, William Scott Mc Pheat, was born in Brisbane Qld in 1929. Please refer to all the photos provided. It is the true story of the man who transformed the face of inland Australia, a man who was instrumental to the flying doctors and the famous pedal radios. The Australian Inland Mission gave new security to settlers and home makers. For its age this hardback book is in good condition. There is some wear to the dustjacket which is to be expected. Please note that a previous owner's name is present and there is some damage to the right vertical page edge (as shown in photo).

Fae Hewston Stevens has written two previous books about Koronglea (Koronglea Cobbers & Koronglea Ponies). Regardless of whether you have read the previous stories or not, this 221 page one will introduce you to the delightful Dixon family and their farm and sheep station in Victoria. The illustrator is Ian Nimmo Forrest and the book has been published by Ward Lock & Co. Ltd and printed in Great Britain by Butler & Tanner Ltd. The book is in very good condition for its age. The original book was published in 2009. This edition is a 2018 reprint of 180 pages. It has a heavy card cover. The renowned Eastern Arrernte painter, Kathleen Kemarre Wallace tells stories of her elders and their way of life that she learnt as a child and young woman. Her knowledge of country, law and culture are evident in her words and paintings. Her story -telling illuminates the origins and beliefs of Eastern Arrernte people and calls for respect for the ancient traditions of the altyerre spirits. This is a beautiful book and is in very good condition.
