Daybills are sought-after by collectors for their rarity and their unique artwork. They look great framed. This daybill dates to 1979. There is writing on the back as well as a stain on the back right hand vertical edge near the upper fold. It measures approximately 34 cm wide x 76 cm long. Please check both photos provided. The signatures on the front of the card are printed on rather than actually signed. On the back of the card is a bio of the band's success. This beautiful vintage book is undated but I believe it to be from the 1940s. It was printed by the Specialty Press Limited, Melbourne and is from 'Digest Juvenile Productions'(Registered) 174 Little Collins Street Melbourne, Australia'. It has paperback covers and has the most amazing illustrations. The front cover has a small patch of discolouration on the top right side where a price sticker probably was at some stage. This very special First Edition book was written by Walter Emanuel (also author of 'A Dog Day') and published by Lawrence & Bullen 16 Henrietta Street, Covent Garden, London in 1904. It contains 36 printed pages of text with 18, plus the title page vignette, splendid full-page colour illustrations throughout. The illustrator is Cecil Aldin. For a book of its age it is in good condition. Note that the spine has been reinforced. Please refer to the photos provided. -

12th Light Horse Regiment (Mounted Unit of the Australian Army). Raised in NSW in 1915 as part of the AIF (Australian Imperial Forces) for service during WW1. The unit fought at Gallipoli as reinforcements as well as the Sinai and Palestine campaign and were also instrumental in suppressing the 1919 Egyptian Uprising.
