This 128 page paperback book provides a history of the fishing industry in Geraldton and gives the history of the industry prior to 1939. It was written by well-respected Geraldton identity, Russell Cooper. For those interested in or keen to learn this is a great book to have on the fishing history in Western Australia. Olegas Truchanas, a Lithuanian born Tasmanian was a master photographer and a champion of the Tasmanian wilderness. He was also a councillor of the Australian Conservation Foundation. He sadly lost his life in the Gordon River Gorge on January 6th, 1972. This book of 144 pages, including both colour and black and white plates, has gathered together his finest works. This book celebrates the extraordinary and colourful history of the iconic Tolarno Bistro in Fitzroy Street, St Kilda. Started in the 1960s by Georges and Mirka Mora, art met life with interesting results. Tolarno Bistro closed in 2006 and this book is a record of an influential era of cooking, eating, drinking and being creatively merry. Wool way bills are documents that record the transportation of wool from one place to another. They contain information such as the quantity of wool, the destination, and the date of shipment. The business Goldsbrough, Mort & Company Limited was established in 1848 and its registered office was at 526 Bourke Street, Melbourne. The company dealt in wool, hides, sheepskins, tallow, furred skins etc. In 1962 Goldsbrough, Mort & Co merged with Elder Smith & Co to form Elder Smith Goldsbrough Mort & Co Ltd.
