On the top ACC is imprinted which shows it originated from a city council somewhere beginning with the letter A. The lamp inside is intact and originally would have been filled with kerosene. Olegas Truchanas, a Lithuanian born Tasmanian was a master photographer and a champion of the Tasmanian wilderness. He was also a councillor of the Australian Conservation Foundation. He sadly lost his life in the Gordon River Gorge on January 6th, 1972. This book of 144 pages, including both colour and black and white plates, has gathered together his finest works. George James Stanley and his associates stole 50 head of cleanskin cattle off 'Moongool' Station in early 1916. The cattle were hidden on Jinkerbay holding on Wallumbilla Creek, amongst the prickly pear. Once bang-tailed and castrated they were taken to Harry Stanley's yards, branded and then returned to the safety of Jinkerbay. When the coast was clear the plan was to plant the young steers on George Stanley's newly acquired Muggleton Block, north of Wallumbilla.
